Dust off your treasure map, adventurers! I've been unearthing a trove of unusual antiques lately, from intricate pocket watches to quirky tin wind-up toys & games. My Instagram (@gormanantiques) is your peek into this whimsical world, but trust me, the real magic happens live. Come explore the Hamburg Antique Center in Sussex County, NJ, where 40 vendors and I have curated a wonderland of thousands of vintage and antique treasures just waiting to be discovered. From antique furniture whispering forgotten stories to mid-century collectibles winking with nostalgia, there's something for every curious soul. I hope to see you there.

Watch out for Dark Patterns Online

12/1/2014

On Cyber Monday or anytime you are ordering something online be wary of Dark Patterns, these are design patterns weaved within a site that are purposefully designed to scam the user...some are obvious while others subtle. For example, I ordered something from Zazzle.com last year and found out their default was to make me member at a price of $9.99/annual set to auto renew every year unless I went out of my way to opt out, this is a deceptive practice that some online companies use to trick users to paying unwanted fees or services. See the video below for other "evil" practices...
