Picture
This is a screen shot from the 1950 sci-fi movie Rocketship X-M. Astronauts (Lloyd Bridges, Osa Massen, John Emery, Noah Beery, Jr., and Hugh O'Brien) blast off to explore the moon, but because of a malfunction, they end up on Mars instead. When on Mars, they explore and discover a ruined city of a past civilization.

If you visit the archive there are many vintage TV commercials, music, texts, cartoons, etc., look around and have fun exploring.

Picture
The first seven Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by chance in 1947 by Bedouin of the Ta'amra tribe, in a cave (later given the name "Cave 1") near Khirbet Qumran on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea. Now they are available in full detail, online. Feel the inclination to transcribe them yourself or click on each verse for a translation, this is amazing detail, enjoy.

Amazingly high resolution photo, literally speaks volumes (pun intended). Using your browser you can peruse the room, zoom in and read the title of most of the books, not to mention the details of the beautiful  painting on the ceiling. The image is 280,000 x 140,000 pixels, approximately 40 gigapixels (40,000 megapixels). The photo is of the library within the Strahov Monastery in Prague, Czech Republic. Click on the photo and enjoy.
